백설 공주 보러 가야 해? 말아야 해?

제 딸은 이제 초등학교 2학년이 되었습니다.

아기들은 한 살 한 살 먹을 때 놀랍도록 자기 의견에 대해 구체적이고 아름답게 표현합니다.

듣고 있으면 정말 시간이 어떻게 가는지 모르죠.

 

우리딸이 백설 공주를 보고 싶다네요,

아버지는 미디어에 물들었어. 이미 편견이 있단다. 걱정 스러웠습니다.

사실 영화 한편이야 부담 스럽지 않죠. 다만, 실망스러워 하는 딸이 보기 힘들것 같아서요.

 

실사화는 양날의 검입니다. 잘해도 그만, 못하면 욕은......

원본에 대한 충실함, 알라딘 기억나시죠? 놀라웠습니다. 그런데 이미 리뷰는 박살이 난 상태여서.

한번더 읽어보다가 기억에 남고 참고할만한 내용을 아래 리뷰에 복사&붙여넣기 합니다.

그래서, 백설 공주 보러 가야 하나요? 말해 하나요?

제 딸을 위해 미국에서 바라보는 시선이 어떤지 확인 차 작성해 보았습니다.

"콩쥐 팥쥐" 나 "춘향전" 같은 고전의 리메이크 같은 개념이니깐요, 미국애들한테요.

5 / 5	This movie was amazing did a great job at portraying the 1973 movie also Rachel and Gal’s performances were top tier both actresses put there all into these rolls the singing alone was great whistle while you work was my favorite song and the dwarfs they did such a good job with them in the movie as well it was just an all around great movie and a fun watch I recommend seeing it
	이 영화 진짜 최고였어요. 1973년 영화를 엄청 잘 표현했고, 레이첼이랑 갈 연기도 완전 최고였음. 두 배우 모두 역할에 혼신의 힘을 다했더라고요. 노래만 들어도 진짜 좋았고, '휘파람 불며 일해'가 제 최애곡이에요. 그리고 난쟁이들도 영화에서 진짜 잘 표현됐어요. 그냥 전체적으로 엄청 좋은 영화고 재밌게 볼 수 있음. 꼭 보시길 추천합니다.

0.5 / 5	It was pretty much as poor as I expected. Wish they had had real actors play the dwarves, and told the truth about Snow White's name (skin white as snow and hair black as ebony). I wasn't a fan of the actress who played Snow White. Gal Godot was mediocre. I think both could have been better cast. Overall, my expectations were low and unfortunately the show didn't exceed them.
	거의 예상했던 만큼 별로였어요. 난쟁이들을 실제 배우들이 연기했으면 좋았을 거고, 백설공주 이름에 대한 진실(눈처럼 하얀 피부와 흑단처럼 검은 머리)을 말했어야 했어요. 백설공주 역을 맡은 배우는 별로였어요. 갤 가돗도 그냥 그랬고요. 둘 다 캐스팅을 더 잘할 수 있었을 것 같아요. 전체적으로 기대치가 낮았는데, 불행히도 그 기대치조차 못 넘었네요.

	내 딸들이 보다가 잠들었고 더 이상 보길 원하지 않았아. 옛날것을 더 좋아하는것 같아. 7살 그리고 9살인데, DogMan을 보러갔어, 그냥 애내들을 깨우기 위해서였어. 백설공주 역할은 한 애가 누구이든지 간에 연기력은 별로였어.

	영화 전체가 완전 OTT 같았어, 고전을 만들려는 지적인 시도가 전혀 없었어. 연기인지 연출인지 완전 끔찍했고, 갤 가돗은 완전 밋밋하고 영혼 없어 보였어. 그리고 나는 이 배우들이나 감독이 만든 영화는 절대 다시 안 볼 거야. 제발 좀 더 시간을 들여서 제대로 된 영화를 만들라고, 왜 모든 걸 그렇게 OTT처럼 만드는 거야?

	돈 버리기 싫은 사람은 절대 보지 마세요. 1. 각본 진짜 최악. 2. 캐스팅 도대체 누가 한 거야??? 눈이 삐었나?? 고전 좀 그만 망치고 백인 역할엔 백인 여자를 쓰라고!!! 나도 갈색 피부인데, 그냥 리메이크를 원작에 충실하게 만들라는 거야! 백설공주라고 불린 데는 이유가 있다고!!! 3. 연기는 진짜 형편없음. 여주 연기는 너무 가짜 같았어. 갤 가돗도 초반엔 좀 괜찮나 싶었는데, 감독이 스트레스 받아서 중간에 포기하고 그냥 맘대로 하게 둔 것 같음. 4. 갤 가돗 액센트가 들리기 시작하니까 원더우먼 생각나서 짜증났어. 이런 거 코치해 주는 사람 없나? 5. 귀에 쏙 들어오는 노래가 하나도 없어. 하나도. 전혀. 6. 여왕이랑 남주 노래 완전 못함. 다른 사람 목소리로 더빙했어야 했음.

The acting was not good, and all the emotional moments from the original snow white seem to just get skipped in this movie. There was a woman on my right sitting next to me, and after 30 minutes she walked out and didn’t come back. So I know for a fact that it wasn’t just me, that found this movie stale. So sad, Knowing the original, Snow White helped tremendously to put Disney on the map, and this is what they do to the live action. if you want to change the script, just make a different Movie.
	이 영화는 애들 보라고 만든 건데, 우리 애조차 재미없어하더라. 연기도 별로였고, 원작 백설공주에서 감동적인 장면들은 다 그냥 건너뛴 것 같아. 내 오른쪽에 앉아있던 여자분은 30분 만에 나가서 다시 안 돌아왔어. 그러니까 이 영화가 별로라고 생각한 건 나뿐만이 아니라는 걸 확실히 알겠어. 진짜 슬프다. 원작 백설공주가 디즈니를 엄청나게 유명하게 만들었는데, 실사 영화를 이렇게 만들다니. 각본을 바꾸고 싶으면 그냥 다른 영화를 만들라고.

결론

제가 생각하기엔, 한국애들에게는 잘 먹힐것 같습니다.

우리 딸은 아기상어와, 뽀로로 그리고 캐치! 티니핑 세대 이거든요.

백설공주-클래식을 보지 않았어요.

라이언 킹도 너무 몰입해서 보았죠.

 

1. 백설공주에 대한 편견이 우선 없음. (인종, 묘사가 뇌리에 박혀 있지 않음)

2. PC 나 페미니즘이니, 애들은 모릅니다.

3. 관람평 중에, 원작에 대한 이해 기반/ 노래에 대한 거부감(뮤지컬 영화)

    부분만 애들이 관심이 있으면 훌륭한 시간이 될 것 같습니다.

 

보긴 봐야 할 것 같습니다. 꼭 원한다고 해서.
